Hi @IT_INDIATODAY

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for explaining the issue clearly. If both the DisplayPort and HDMI ports on your HP P24v G4 monitor are unresponsive—even after trying different cables and systems—it’s likely a hardware-level fault or a configuration issue.

Let’s walk through a few steps to help isolate and potentially resolve it:

Step 1: Power Cycle the Monitor

This clears temporary glitches that may affect port detection.

  1. Turn off the monitor and unplug the power cable.
  2. Disconnect all video cables (HDMI, DP).
  3. Wait 30 seconds.
  4. Reconnect the power cable and one video cable.
  5. Power on the monitor and check for signal.

Step 2: Manually Select Input Source

Some monitors don’t auto-switch between inputs.

  • Use the monitor’s menu button to access settings.
  • Navigate to Input Source and manually select HDMI or DisplayPort, depending on the cable you’re using.

Step 3: Inspect Cables and Ports

Even new cables can be faulty or incompatible.

  • Try a known working cable with another monitor to confirm it’s functional.
  • Inspect the monitor’s HDMI and DP ports for dust or bent pins.
  • Clean gently with compressed air if needed.

Step 4: Test with a Different Resolution and Refresh Rate

Some monitors reject unsupported signals.

  • On your PC, go to Display Settings > Advanced Display Settings.
  • Lower the resolution to 1920x1080 and set refresh rate to 60Hz.
  • Reconnect the monitor and check for display.

Step 5: Check for Firmware Updates

HP occasionally releases firmware updates for monitors that address port or signal issues.

If none of these steps restore functionality, the monitor may require service or part replacement—particularly the mainboard or connector assembly. Let me know what you observe after trying these steps, and I’ll help you move forward from there.
