Before the incident occurred, I was playing Mortal Kombat 1. This is important to know, as it is a very memory-consuming game. At some point during the lengthy story mode, my monitor completely froze. Task Manager did not work. Screen lock did not work. Only forcing the computer to shut down worked. Now, the computer will turn on, but the monitor refuses to register any DP signal from the computer. Despite the computer still operating well, I cannot use it until this conflict is resolved. I have already tried a hard reset and leaving the monitor unplugged.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your Monitor that Displays No Signal!

If your monitor is displaying "No Signal" but the computer itself seems to be working fine, here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

 

Check Connections

  1. Reconnect Power Plug: Reconnect the power plug to the back of the monitor and to the wall outlet.
  2. Check Video Cable: Inspect the monitor video connector for bent pins.
    • If any of the pins are bent, replace the monitor connector cable.
    • If no pins are bent, reconnect the monitor connector cable to the computer.
  3. Different Port: Try connecting the monitor to a different video port on the computer if one is available.
  4. Replace Cables: Use a different cable if possible to ensure the issue is not with the current cable.

Display Settings

  1. Monitor Power Button: Press the power button on the monitor to ensure it's turned on.
  2. Sleep Mode: Press the space bar on the keyboard or move the mouse to make the screen display visible again.
  3. Check Resolution Settings: Sometimes, display issues can be related to incorrect resolution settings. Adjust the monitor resolution setting in Windows.

System Actions

  1. Restart:
    • Press and hold the power button for 5 or more seconds to turn off the computer, then press the power button to restart the computer.
  2. Remove Recent Software: If you recently installed new software, uninstall the software and see if the computer functions properly.

Try a Different Monitor

  1. Check with Other Monitor: Plug the monitor into a different video port on the computer if one is available, or change out the monitor with a monitor that you know is functioning properly.

Hi! It’s great to have someone respond to me at last!

 

Check Connections 1, 2, and 3 have already been tried. I don’t have the resources to try 4.

 

Display Settings 1, 2 and 3 have already been tried.

 

System Actions 1 and 2 have already been tried.

 

I do not think my other monitor can hook up to the OMEN.

 

Is there anything else you can recommend?

 

I will also be giving a call to tech support soon and I will let you know if they are able to resolve it.
