Hello,
today I've received the Monitor HP M27fwa, I've connected it to the PC via the HDMI cable provided and I connected a 3.5 audio jack from audio out of the PC to the Monitor Audio In. (this cable was not provided.)
I'm 100% sure audio of the pc is OK.
Internal test of the speakersfrom the monitor is working I can hear it.
I've set the volume of the monitor to 90 to be sure I can hear it.
In the monitor panel there is a menu' "Input" from there I can select Audio and the audio volume and audio internal self test.
There is an area Audio Follow Video where there is selected Audio HDMI1, then other option are Audio HDMI2 and the Audio Analogic PC that I cannot access.
Could you please help about the monitor speaker not working ?
Many Thanks

About the area that i cannot access, I've seen that if I set HDMI to HDMI2 it set to HDMI2 if I set VGA it set Analogic pc audio, so this is not the problem and anyhow audio is not working also when is set to VGA

Good evening everyone,
After several tests, I discovered that:
- if I connect the monitor via HDMI and the audio cable with 3.5mm jack from the audio-out of the PC to the Audio-in of the monitor, the audio cannot be heard.
- if I connect a recent PC only via HDMI to the monitor the audio works.
- if I also connect the audio cable with 3.5mm jack from the audio-out of the PC to the Audio-in of the monitor, the audio does not work (even if I select the correct output on the PC).
My DELL PC has a DVI output, to connect the monitor to HDMI I use an adapter. The PC is dated and the video output does not support audio. So I expect that if I connect the audio cable with 3.5mm jack from audio-out of the PC to audio-in of the monitor, this will work.
Is this correct, or does this type of monitor assume that if connected via HDMI the audio only passes via HDMI or can it also pass via an audio cable...?
the question is why I am agreeing to replace the monitor, as it seems that the analog audio input of the monitor is not working.
I wouldn't want to return the monitor, only to get another one that works the same way.
Thank you

I did the following test again:
I discovered the following thing:
if I connect the cable via HDMI and the analog audio cable the audio cannot be heard and the monitor is in this mode:
if I connect the VGA cable and the analog audio cable the audio works and the monitor is in this mode:
Is there any way (for example software that acts on the monitor, on the monitor firmware) that can allow HDMI video connection and audio connection via analog cable at the same time?
