I am experiencing the same symptoms as https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Video-Display-and-Touch/HP-2509m-monitor-turns-on-for-1-2-secs....  I tried the recommended solution, multiple times with no luck.  The menu will not come up on the screen for me (Step 4) in order to perform factory reset (Step 5).

Some additional information - in my case, I was trying to match the color/brightness of two monitors of this same model.  On the one that has gone blank, I had set the brightness to 100%.  After that, it just went blank and now, whenever I power it off/on, it shows the OS desktop for a second, then goes blank, just like described in the topic above.

@pflannery

I reviewed your post and I understand that the monitor turns on for 1-2 seconds and then goes blank.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

How is the monitor connected to the computer? Do you use any docking station or converters?

Have you tried connecting the monitor to a different PC?

Meanwhile, I recommend you update the graphics driver on your computer and check if it helps.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
