Hi,
You need to clarify your meaning of PS4 "cannot display it on anything else".
Check the default video source input in the monitor's menu against the default video out for the PS4 in the PS4 manual. The SP4 should automatically match the video input to the monitor. I suggest that that you use a ntive HDMI cable without adapters. Review this information on how to reset etc. the PS4.
- Unplug the monitor from the wall.
- Hold down the monitor's power button for 60 seconds.
- Plug the monitor back into the wall and power it on. Check the default video source. Set it as appropriate.(HDMI)
- Hold the power off button on the PS4 for several seconds until hear a beep. (PS4 hard reset)
- PS4 safe mode screen should now appear.

The problem is with my monitor. Even with no cables attached to it, I'm still getting a "check video cable" error message. I can't change the source manually or pull up the monitor's settings menu by pressing the buttons on the monitor. The only button that works is the power button on the monitor. Again, the problem is with my monitor and not my PS4.
Thank you for the response though

Hi,
Without being able to test the PS4, then how can you say it's just monitor issue? You might have issues with both devices. I have a PS3 so I know that these types of devices can be an issue.
You will need a known good HDMI cable.
Check your power source and cable as this could be an issue.
Review page 28 in this manual. There are a few suggestions that you should try. Pressing and holding the buttons for a few seconds per the manual might produce a different result for you.
"Even with no cables attached to it, I'm still getting a "check video cable" error message." Normal error message according to the manual.
Your monitor only has a one (1) warranty so if it's still under warranty then contact HP Support for warranty assistance.
