So, the display has decided to shut down on me, I only get a black screen when I connect everything and attempt to start it, as far as I can tell it's not the power or connection due to the light on the back still shining and the PC responding to the connection. The monitor has been siting in a garage all winter so could the cold be the cause? I warmed it up for a few weeks and still no response, I know it's not the PC as well due to another monitor still being able to run on it but that monitor is no longer viable for long-term use so I grabbed thus as a replacement, does anyone have anything to give me, please?
The monitor also doesn't show any options for the buttons

Since you have confirmed that the display system in the PC works OK with a different monitor, I have to presume that this one froze during the winter and that cold damaged the components, especially since you let it warm up and it still did not work. These are only designed to survive temperatures typically present inside a home or business.
