Hi @Jaha1,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
I'm sorry to hear about your monitor—it must be really frustrating to deal with a black screen, especially on such a reliable display.
Let’s try a few steps to see if we can bring your HP ENVY 27 monitor back to life. Since there are no visible faults, it could be a connection or settings issue. Here are some things to try:
Check Power Connections and LED Indicators
- Make sure the power cable is securely connected both to the monitor and to a working power outlet.
- Look for any LED indicator light on the monitor. If it's not lit, try a different power cable if you have one available, as the cable could be the issue.
2. Perform a Power Reset
- Unplug the monitor’s power cable, then hold down the power button on the monitor for about 15-20 seconds.
- Plug it back in and turn it on to see if the display responds.
3. Test with a Different Cable and Port
- If you’re using HDMI, try a different HDMI cable or, if possible, a different port on the monitor.
- You could also try connecting via a different input type, like DisplayPort if your computer and monitor support it.
4. Connect to Another Device
- Try connecting the monitor to a different device (another laptop or desktop) to rule out an issue with your primary device.
- If the monitor works with another device, the problem may be with the graphics card or settings on your primary device.
5. Reset Monitor Settings
- If your monitor has an on-screen display (OSD) menu button, press it and navigate to the settings to reset the monitor to factory defaults.
If these steps don’t bring up a display, it might be a more specific internal issue with the monitor’s power or display board.
