Microsoft Windows 11

Dear HP community, I would greatly appreciate your help!

My HP Pavilion x360 is having touchpad error code 10 issues, where my touchpad stops working. I have tried many methods from restarting my pc, updating my driver, and even resetting my Windows 11, however, this issue still persist and continues to make work difficult. However, when my touchpad starts working after multiple resets or just waiting for a couple of days and then trying to update, it works perfectly for about half a day, then it goes back to error code 10. I will provide further details regarding this issue below:

This is what I get when I click on events section on the I2C HID Device:

I have tried downloading other drivers from HP official website, however, even those did not work.

Thank you for your reply.

The change you have suggested have not been working. I have been uninstalling and then reinstalling the touchpad driver for about 3 months now and nothing has been working. I also tried other methods such as going into redownloading upper folder and lower folder. I have gone through all the youtube and other HP community form and tried all the method, however, it did not help. If their way to fix this issue?

I have this same problem in my HP Pavilion X360. As I can still use the touchpad by disabling and enabling 'I2C HID Device' in device manager, I don't think it's a hardware problem.

Hi @Harpreet_24 and rajubasnet2058,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

This could be a hardware issue with the unit and may need repair.

I suggest that you contact HP Service Center in your location from this weblink: https://support.hp.com/us-en/help/service-center
Note: Select your country from the dropdown,  enter the city or postal code, select the product and click on search to locate the nearest HP Service center near your location.

Thank you for your reply. My question is that after few time disabling or updating my driver, my touchpad works perfectly fine. So when my driver is working(no error code 10) then my touchpad feels good on my fingertips and works smoothly. However, when there is error code 10, my touchpad does not work at all. So is this still a hardware issue( since I thought that if it was hardware issue, my touchpad would not work at all, however, my touchpad does work sometimes and sometimes it does not.) So please let me know if this still is related to hardware, and if not, please let me know some method to fix this issue! thank you.
