Before the screen became pink  by beats sound card stopped working.  It was not recording sound nor playing back sound.

Can't think of anything other than my going to the "Soound" area of the computer to try to fix the beats audio.  I did a down load of an IDT sound driver.

A very warm welcome to the HP community. A very good day to you.

I understand that you have an HP Pavilion HPE h8-1330z PC. I read that you're facing multiple issues with the laptop. The screen is pinkish and the beats audio is not working. There is no sound from the PC. Not worry, I'll do my best to help you.

I would like to know the following information to assist you better:

  • Did any hardware changes take place on the PC?
  • Does the PC overheat?
  • Does the monitor work fine with another PC or do you have another monitor to check with?

Meanwhile, I recommend you to perform the following steps to isolate the issue and arrive at a fix:

  • Shutdown the PC.
  • Disconnect all devices and power cable from the PC.
  • Press and hold the power button for 10 seconds and then release it.
  • Reconnect the keyboard, mouse, monitor and the power cable to the PC.
  • Power on the PC.

If the issue persists then let's perform a monitor self test by following the below steps:

  • Power off the monitor.
  • Disconnect the monitor from the PC.
  • Power on the monitor. It should display a message saying "check input signal", etc. If this message appears with proper colors and does not appear pinkish then the monitor should be fine.

Also, please run the hardware test on the PC as described below:

  • Click Start , All Programs, PC Help & Tools, and Hardware Diagnostic Tools.

  • If you are prompted for an Administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  • A window opens and displays a message to close all applications. Close all non-essential applications and click OK to continue.

    Do one of the following:

    • Click the device and review the device information.
    • Click one of the System Tools and resolve the misconfiguration issue.
    • Do not troubleshoot the misconfigured device. The misconfigured device is not related to your current issue. Resolve the misconfigured device issue another time.
  • Select a device and click Run test.

  • Click Yes to continue.

You could run the HP Vision Diagnostics by referring to this link: http://hp.care/2uYhLY6. The HP Vision Diagnostics can be downloaded from this link.
