Folks, I have an HP Envy Model #: 700-074 Product #: H5Q09AA. The HPs of that era had two DVI monitor ports. I need a monitor to replace an old one, asap, which can connect to the DVI-D port, but do not know what monitors exist today that can connect this way. The box (CPU etc) still runs, and runs well as long as it is not overloaded with tasks. It's URGENT that I get a monitor on this thing asap. Any brand name./ model suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi:
The HP LA2205wg business class monitor I have have 3 inputs...DVI, VGA and Display Port.
Monitors come in many sizes and whatnot, so it would be impossible for me to recommend any, since you have not indicated what resolution, what screen size, features, etc., you need.
However, the easiest thing to do would be to buy a monitor you are interested in, and say for example it only has a HDMI input.
Then you buy a DVI to HDMI video cable and you will be all set.
I just went through a similar drill a short time ago.
I got a HP thin client t630 PC, and all it has are display port outputs.
I had a 22' TV I wanted to hook the PC up to, and it only has HDMI inputs.
So, I bought a display port to HDMI video cable, and the problem was solved.
