Hi, looking for some help please, i bought a new geforce rtx 3080ti Eagle to add to my z400 workstation & it is not being detected anymore. I am still running the nvidia quadro FX1800 which seems to be fine. I connected the new GPU to a new PSU to make sure power was not an issue & also via a riser as it will not fit inside the case. It was detected & downloaded the drivers etc. but was getting too hot, so shutdown the computer, got a fan, replaced the thermal pads with better quality ones, connected up again but now not being detected. I believe my BIOS is the latest available? anything else i should try or is this just not compatible? thanks

Sound like the video board went bad. That is surprising as the they normally shut / slow down when hot.
My Z400 (had 3 at one time) is in an NZXT ATX case with modded power supply
I suspect replacing the thermal pads on the 3080ti invalidated the warrantee but you might try getting it repaired.
