Product: HP M27 Webcam Monitor

I just purchased a new M27 webcam monitor, and it arrived today!   I went to register the product. It came out of the box with an expired warranty!! Are they selling used products?  Why would this happen. I can't get any help from HP.  Should I return the product. Looks like someone else must have owned it first.
