New PC screen going black for about 30 seconds repeatedly

I just set up my new PC and now every 5 minutes I am getting a black screen. It last about 20 second and then returns to normal I am aslo getting some intermitent flickering . Has anyone any idea what the problem might be?

Although I don't think this is it, at least try another monitor
if same problem, a new computer, not working return to the seller
