I have had a HP Pavilion 22cwa 21.5-inch IPS LED Backlit Monitor since July 2016 and it has worked really well. The past few weeks the HDMI signal keeps cutting out so I am unable to extend my display from my laptop.

The trouble shooting that I have done thus far:

  •  changed HDMI cables
  • confirmed that the ports of my MAC book are working with other devices
  • Unplugged and plugged in the monitor to the main power source
  • Held the power button on the monitor for a minute

Despite these efforts, the monitor is still not working consistently. Any advice would be greatly appreciated to fix this.

@kms289 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are unable to connect the monitor to Mac.

Here's a few things you need to know when using an HP monitor with a Mac device:

HP monitors are not supported in a Mac environment. However, newer Macs use graphics with VESA modes and can display to most HP LCD monitors.

  • To do this, connect the monitor to the Mac while the Mac is off, and then turn on the MAC.
  • The monitor should operate at 60Hz.The INF and software for the HP monitor are for Microsoft Windows and cannot be run in a standard MAC OS environment.
