Microsoft Windows 11

New laptop purchased yesterday; I have a monitor (ASUS) connected with HDMI and a monitor (ACER) connect with a VGA to USB-C adapter (NXT Technologies). The ASUS has signal but not the ACER.  The laptop does not detect the ACER. This exact setup was working with my previous laptop (ThinkPad T14S).

What could be the problem and the solution

Hi @JP6842,

Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I see that you are facing issues with your HP Laptop - 15-Ef1041nr wherein the external monitor is not getting detected through USB-C port.

The SuperSpeed USB Type-C® (5Gbps signaling rate) is not a thunderbolt port. Hence, it cannot be connected to a monitor.

You may check the specifications from this Weblink.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
