OMEN Transcend 31.5 inch UHD 240Hz OLED Gaming Monitor - OMEN Transcend 32
Microsoft Windows 11

I recently purchased TWO Omen Transcend 31.5" OLED displays only to find the OLED Protection settings being reset to OFF when the screen powers off. I'm on the latest firmware and have tried other suggested fixes listed in the other threads here on this forum.

Is there a solution to this or has it just been thrown under the rug? I might leverage the good consumer protection here in Australia and return both monitors if a solution hasn't been found.

@jongregory23, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Thank you for reaching out, and I’m sorry to hear about the issue you’re experiencing with the OLED Protection settings on your OMEN Transcend 32 monitors. We absolutely understand how frustrating this can be, especially given the premium nature of these displays and your recent investment.

Our team is aware of reports regarding the OLED Protection settings resetting after power cycling, and I want to assure you that your feedback is being taken seriously. At this time, the issue is under active review by our engineering and firmware development teams. While the latest firmware addresses several known issues, we understand that this particular behavior persists for some users.

Here are a few steps you may wish to double-check in the meantime:

Ensure Both Monitors Are Running the Latest Firmware:

You can check this through the OMEN Gaming Hub > My Gear > Display > Settings.

Firmware updates often roll out gradually, so please ensure both monitors are fully updated.

Factory Reset & Reconfigure:

Perform a factory reset via the on-screen menu, then reconfigure the OLED Protection settings.

While this is not a permanent solution, some users have seen temporary success using this method.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.

Issue still persists.

I'm already on latest firmware, and a factory reset did nothing to fix the OLED protectionfeatures being turned off.

To be clear - can we expect a fix in the next firmware release? Has the problem been identified or is the team just 'aware' of the issue.

No OLED protection on a premium OLED monitor is absolutely ridiculous and warrants a refund.
