Hi @Dalton02,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding monitor!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try the following steps:
Check Power and Cable Connections
- Ensure the power cable is securely connected to both the monitor and the wall outlet.
- Try a different power outlet or use a direct connection (avoid power strips).
- Swap out the DisplayPort/HDMI cable to rule out a faulty cable.
Disable Auto Sleep & Power Saving
- Open Monitor Settings Menu (OSD) → Find Power Settings.
- Disable Sleep Mode, Power Saving, and Auto-Off features.
Adjust Refresh Rate & Resolution
- Right-click Desktop → Display Settings → Advanced Display Settings.
- Under Refresh Rate, set it to 165Hz (or lower, e.g., 144Hz).
- Ensure the resolution matches 2560x1440 (native resolution).
Update Graphics Drivers
- Right-click Start → Device Manager → Expand Display Adapters.
- Right-click GPU → Update Driver → Select Search automatically.
- Alternatively, download the latest drivers from NVIDIA/AMD’s official site.
Check Windows Power Settings
- Control Panel → Power Options → Change Plan Settings.
- Set Turn off display to Never.
- Disable USB Selective Suspend (Advanced Power Settings).
Try a Different Port or Device
- Plug the monitor into another GPU port.
- Test the monitor on a different PC or laptop to check if the issue is with the monitor or your system.
