The initial problem I had was that my PC was not turning on until I unplugged my keyboard, only then could I turn on my pc and plug back in my keyboard. I tried every possible option I could find on the internet but, nothing worked. I then decided to factory reset my PC to see if that would solve it, it did not. So I kept trying other things but gave up in the end. Since I reset my PC I was configuring my PC's ram to 3200MHZ because I was using the two 8GB ram sticks that came with the PC and two 8GB sticks that were given to me, all sticks have a speed of 3200MHZ. Using AMD master to bring it all to 3200MHZ and then let it restart my PC as I did before the factory reset but this time my PC wont display and is making 8 beeps. No display comes out.

Hi @NAL3G
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
That’s an incredibly frustrating situation—especially after all the effort you’ve put in to troubleshoot and optimize your system. The 8-beep pattern on the HP Omen 30L typically signals a POST (Power-On Self-Test) failure, often tied to memory configuration issues or BIOS corruption. Let’s walk through a structured recovery path to bring your system back to life.
What Likely Happened
When you mixed RAM kits and manually set the frequency to 3200MHz using AMD Master, the system may have failed to “train” the memory properly. Even if all sticks are rated for 3200MHz, differences in rank, chip density, or SPD timing can cause instability. The 8-beep code confirms the system can’t initialize display output—often due to memory or BIOS-level faults.
Step-by-Step Recovery
1. Power Down and Remove All RAM
- Unplug the system completely
- Remove all four RAM sticks
- Reinsert only the original HP-supplied RAM (one stick in DIMM1)
- Power on and check for display
If the system boots, the issue is with RAM compatibility or overclock settings.
2. Clear CMOS to Reset BIOS Settings
This will revert memory settings and voltage tweaks:
- Unplug power cable
- Hold power button for 15 seconds
- Locate the CMOS battery on the motherboard (silver coin-cell)
- Remove it for 2–3 minutes, then reinsert
- Alternatively, use the CMOS jumper if available (refer to your motherboard layout)
- Reconnect power and boot with one original RAM stick
This clears any unstable memory profiles and restores default BIOS behavior.
3. Avoid Mixing RAM Kits
Even if all sticks are 8GB 3200MHz, mixing brands or chip types can cause POST failures. HP systems are particularly sensitive to:
- Rank mismatches (e.g., 1Rx8 vs 2Rx8)
- JEDEC timing differences
- Non-QVL modules
Stick to identical part numbers and validated modules for best stability.
4. BIOS Recovery (If CMOS Reset Fails)
If the system still won’t post:
- Download the latest BIOS for your Omen 30L from HP’s BIOS Support Page
- Use another PC to create a BIOS recovery USB
- Insert into the Omen 30L → Hold Windows + B while powering on
Note: This method only works if the system can access USB and has onboard recovery support. If no display or USB activity occurs, BIOS flashing may require factory service.
You’ve done everything right by isolating the issue and trying multiple recovery paths. You deserve a system that powers on with confidence—and we’ll get it there.
