Hi all,
I have an HP Envy 750 with a GeForce GTX 745 graphics card. The GTX 745 has one DVI connection, one HDMI connection, and one Display Port connection. In the pc there seems to be 2 HDMI connections. Neither of the HDMI connections on the PC work. Wondows does not even recognize them at all, however the monitor seems to think there is a computer connected, and it is acting as the screen is off and wants me to "move the mouse on the computer to get it to turn on". The DVI and HDMI on the Graphics card work fine (haven't tried the display port). This is for setting up a second display. I already have one wirking fine that I can use to see what the PC is up to.
Any ideas as to how I might be able to troubleshoot this and get my HDMI connections in the PC to work? Maybe some video driver update?
Thanks very much.

Well, since there is a graphics card installed, then only the outputs from the graphics card will be in play. The general layout for the Envy 750 series has two HDMI ports on the motherboard and those are usually disabled when there is a graphics card installed. For more specific help, the rest of the model number is needed, IE: ENVY 750-537cb
However, if the GTX 745 does not have any HDMI and there is no desire to change the graphics card to get a HDMI output, then there is always this choice:

Or, if the P Envy 750 only has USB 2.0

You can check in the BIOS to see if the HDMI ports can be enabled while the graphics card is in place, but typically the answer is no.
