Hi @Sivasimha,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand how stressful this is. Your HP desktop powers on, but there’s no display even after changing HDMI cables. The fact that you previously saw the first and second tests (POST/diagnostics) by pressing Esc suggests the system was initially able to output video, but now it’s completely blank. Let’s troubleshoot this step by step.

Possible Causes

  • Loose or faulty monitor connection (HDMI port or cable).
  • Monitor issue (try another monitor if possible).
  • Graphics card or integrated GPU failure.
  • BIOS corruption or incomplete POST.
  • Memory or hardware fault.

Steps to Fix

1. Check Monitor & Cable

  • Test the monitor with another device to confirm it works.
  • Try a different HDMI port or use DisplayPort/VGA if available.

2. Hard Reset

  • Power off the desktop.
  • Disconnect the power cord.
  • Hold the Power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect and power on.

3. Remove External Devices

  • Disconnect all peripherals except keyboard, mouse, and monitor.
  • Boot again.

4. Try BIOS Recovery

  • Press Windows + B and the Power button together for 2–3 seconds.
  • This triggers HP BIOS Recovery if the BIOS is corrupted.

5. Reseat RAM

  • If comfortable, open the case and:
    • Remove and reinsert RAM modules.
    • If multiple sticks, try booting with one at a time.

6. Check Beep Codes or LED Blinks

  • If the Caps Lock or power LED blinks in a pattern, note it; it indicates a hardware error.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
