I recently bought a second hand HP Pavilion xw27 Monitor. It did not come with a power plug. I am based in the UK and bought an AC adaptor that output at voltages between 3 and 12 but even at 12 this does not seem to be enough to power on the monitor.
Does anyone know what power should be supplied to this monitor in volts? I see the power ratings on the spec sheet but presumably it does not require 100-240 volts as 12 volts was enough for it to flicker to life and attempt to boot but die again.

I am not hugely knowledgable with the physics behind the voltage so was not sure what size of plug I needed as the adaptor I bought on Amazon is going to be returned.
