So I just managed to re install windows and boot it up, and now my screen is striped green and when I open up device manager and try to update the display monitor drivers it doesnt show my graphics card and it says I cannot open my AMD Radeon settings.  Haven't tried anything yet. This is what it looks like.

Welcome to HP Support Community

I suggest you download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: https://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_us/en/any/psg/p...

HPSA will automatically search for all the latest drivers for your Notebook

  1. Click My devices in the top menu, and then click Updates in the My PC or My notebook pane.

Click Updates in the My notebook pane

  2. Click Check for updates and messages to scan for new updates.

Updates list in HP Support Center

  3. Review the list of updates. Updates with a yellow information icon are recommended. Updates with a blue information icon are optional.

  4. Click the update name for a description, version number, and file size.

  5. Select the box next to any updates you want to install, and then click Download and install.

Also ensure Windows is up to date.

Select the Start  button, and then go to Settings  > Update & security  > Windows Update , and select Check for updates. If Windows Update says your device is up to date, you have all the updates that are currently available

Keep me posted how it goes

Thank you and have a wonderful day 😊

Hi I just tried this and my pc crashed, it downloaded the AMD Radeon discrete graphics and crashed. This also happens when I update the display adapters in device manager.

May I know how did you reinstall the Windows? Did you use the HP Recovery Media?

Please try the AMD driver Auto Detect Tool and let me know if that helps.

You can follow the instructions in this Link: https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/gpu-131

Thank you

Yes , I installed windows through the Hp recovery or I downloaded windows 10 for free but most likely the recovery thing as I dont have the watermark from the free windows 10, but I did use a usb to add my account and trouble shoot the problem since I reset my pc, and im not sure why it booted it worked after I downloaded windows 10 again.

Yes, this issue is still ongoing and instead of detecting my graphics card it instead uses microsoft basic display adapter, or the integrated graphics for windows 10 when software isnt detected.
