We have 16 HP Z24n screens here at work which have their own usb output when connected with an usb-c cable on the bottom of the screen. Problem is that none is working.
We attached the usb-c cables (we tried several) to the bottom port of the screen (as the manual says), but we have none output on the usb-3 ports. No data or power.
Anyone knows what we are doing wrong? Desktops are fairly new HP's (CAD) with NVIDIA Quadro P2000 video cards.

not sure at all what you are doing there.
tell all that you have, there, and how connected
and what is the goal, name something as final goal.?
even photos help, showing connections, and all equipment
and no idea me what HP CAD would be, not any clue.
what are you going to uses USB for,, name one thing, (end goal)

Well, there are usb ports on the displays and we want them to work so we can connect things like charge cables, data cable for a camera for example or other usb devices.
Sorry, don't know what else I should say about it.... See picture from HP manual.
CAD stations: HP desktops specially designed/configured for CAD (like SolidWorks).

Well, we figured it out ourselves.
The monitor is standard set to 'Power saver' which disables the USB C-port. By setting it to 'Performance' it works.
Very confusing HP! It is also not mentioned in the manual (maybe somewhere, but not where is should be).
Steps: Menu - Power Control - Power Mode - set it to 'Performance'.
