Protective film on HP V24i monitor?

My brand new HP V24i monitor appears to have a protective or anti-glare plastic film over the screen.  HP support said that I could remove this, but they seemed less than 100% confident that the film was purely for protection during shipping, and not something that should be left alone.  It doesn't seem like it wants to easily peel off, like other plastic films you get on other products out of the box.  I don't want to end up like this guy: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Video-Display-and-Touch/Protective-Film-or-Not/td-p/6192135.

Anyone have this experience?

Do not remove it unless there is a tab to pull.  Normally there is a label and the protective film usually extends beyond the screen to cover the the edge or bevel.  Any "tab" would extend out to where it easy to grasp with the fingers.

If there are two protective screen, one for bevel the other for screen only remove the bevel or edge covering.

Thank you.  There is no pull tab, and the film does not extend beyond the screen border (just as pictured in the other post I linked to).  I'd have to try to scrape up one corner with my fingernail to try to get the peeling started.  The HP agent I was speaking with told me to go ahead and do it (because, as he said, it was only there for shipping), but I thought better of it.  I now assume this film is actually the anti-glare "coating" and should remain undisturbed.
