I have two monitors that are the same. When my secondary monitor goes into standby, it cycles full screens of red, blue, and green instead of going blank. I have read to restore it to factory settings, but I am unable to get the menu to come up to do so. I also get a message that the power button is locked. When I press any button - Enter, <, >, Exit, or Auto, the monitor turns off. I have to press the button again to get it to turn back on. How can I correct this?

Welcome to HP support community.
Power Button Lockout is displayed.
The monitor's Power Button Lockout function is enabled.
Press and hold the Power button for 10 seconds to unlock the Power button function.
If the above doesn't work then try a monitor reset. Unplug the monitor’s power cord and hold down the monitor’s power button for 30-60 seconds. Plug the monitor back in and power it up.
Let me know how it goes.
