Screen Will not come on Pavilion 23 all in one desktop,
Tried unplugging, holding power button for 10-15 sec and re-plugging in - did not work
No USB power to keyboard - no lights on keyboard light up
I tried other keyboards
I tried other USB ports to plug into - still no power to USB
(So using any keyboard hot keys as of now useless) anything from the windows logo hotkey, F1-F10, Esc, etc......(Keyboard useless)
Power to CD-ROM it tries to read but I do not have any CD.
Any Ideas? I am open to all ideas, [personal info removed]

Hi @ChristopherWd,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're experiencing some issues with your HP Pavilion 23 all-in-one desktop. When your computer's screen doesn't come on, and you're also not getting any power to your USB peripherals, including the keyboard, it could be due to a variety of reasons. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.
Check the power source:
- Ensure that the power cord is securely connected to both the computer and the power outlet.
- Try plugging the computer into a different power outlet to rule out a power supply issue.
Power cycle:
- Unplug the computer from the power source.
- Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds to discharge any residual power.
- Plug the computer back in and try turning it on.
Monitor and display issues:
- If the screen is not coming on, it could be a problem with the display or graphics adapter.
- Try connecting an external monitor to your computer to see if you get a display on the external monitor. If you do, it may be a problem with the internal display.
Keyboard and USB issues:
- Check if any of the USB ports are physically damaged. If they are, it might be causing a short circuit.
- Try connecting your keyboard to another computer to ensure it's working correctly.
- If you have a wireless keyboard, check if the batteries are functioning.
- If you have a wired USB keyboard, try different USB ports.
Reset BIOS/UEFI settings:
- Sometimes, resetting the BIOS or UEFI settings can help. This can usually be done by pressing a specific key during startup (e.g., F2, Del, Esc). Refer to your computer's manual for the correct key to access the BIOS/UEFI and then look for an option to reset to default settings.
Hardware issues:
- If the above steps do not resolve the issue, it could be a hardware problem.
System recovery:
- If you suspect a software issue, you can try a system recovery or reinstalling the operating system. However, this may result in data loss, so it's best to do this as a last resort.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

The board is shutting off on purpose for some reason, I tried switching the jumpers, the fan is not coming on, the power comes on, the dvd drive comes on, tried a bootable disk, tried a windows 10 recovery disk, tried pulling RAM.
