Screen looks broken but there are no signs of outside damage

So I picked up my laptop and I see this. I try resetting it and checking the drivers but no luck. I assumed I must've broken the screen but there is no sign of damage outside the laptop that I can see. It was working just fine an hour ago. I have no idea what could've happened.
