HP ENVY 27-b206
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a new All-In-One HP Envy 27. Despite my best research I'm finding the screen too reflective.

Previously I had dismissed HP and bought a Lenovo with a matt screen. This time I saw that HP were now describing the screen as "68.6 cm (27") diagonal 4K IPS eDP anti-glare WLED-backlit touch screen ". I thought the anti-glare meant a matt screen. This was further reinforced when I viewed a Currys machine with the designation 27-b205 which was a glossy screen. I drew the conclusion that this meant the b205 was glossy and the more expensive b206 was matt.

Having received the b206 the screen is the same as the b205. I have it tucked in a corner away from the window for setting up but I will move it to the side of the office facing the window. I'm afraid this won't work because it will just reflect the window.

The question is, have I got the wrong screen with the anti-glare missing. And how do I tell?

Nearly all touchscreens do have this problem. You have to go for a non-touchscreen to be able to avoid this problem.

My old Lenovo Ideacentre is a matt touch screen. I was upgrading for more power and speed!
