I am trying to switch from dark mode to light mode. I have tried going to settings and under Personalization and selecting Colors. I have selected light mode several times. I do not know what to do from here.

I had originally changed my mode to dark mode, so I went into my settings and switched from light to dark. After having dark mode for so long, I wanted to change back to light mode. I did the exact same thing as before and switched from dark to light mode, but the mode still stays in the dark mode. This started about a week ago. There were no changes made to my laptop recently. I am looking to change the display settings to my whole device.

It sounds like you’re having some trouble switching back to light mode on your HP Pavilion laptop. Here are a few steps you can follow to troubleshoot and change the display settings:
1. Check Windows Settings:
- Go to Settings (you can press Windows + I).
- Select Personalization.
- Click on Colors.
- Under Choose your color, make sure to select Light.
2. Check for Accessibility Settings:
- In Settings, go to Ease of Access.
- Check if any settings under Color filters are affecting your display.
3. Reset Theme:
- In Settings, go to Personalization > Themes.
- Select the default theme to reset any customizations.
4. Check for Windows and BIOS Updates:
- Go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and select Check for updates. If the upgrade is available for your device and you want to proceed, download and install it.
- Update the BIOS for your PC by clicking on the link.
Make sure you keep only the charger plugged in while updating the BIOS for your PC.
Click on the + sign next to BIOS and then download the file.
Open the file and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.
