Hi @RUSHILMULEY,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Envy touchpad has suddenly stopped responding, don’t worry, let’s try a few steps for straightforward fixes. Here’s how to get that smooth glide back:
1. BIOS Restore:
1) Shut down the computer, keep the charger plugged in
2) Hold down the Windows and B buttons together while the computer is still turned off.
3) Turn on the computer and continue to hold the Windows and B buttons until a BIOS Recovery screen appears.
4) Follow the on-screen instructions and click on OK.
2. Enable Touchpad via Function Keys
- Press Fn + F5 or F6, F9, or F10, depending on your model.
(Look for a small touchpad icon—tap it once to toggle on/off.) - Some models may need double-tapping the top-left corner of the touchpad to re-enable it (a small LED may turn on or off).
3. Use Windows Settings
- Press Windows key + I to open Settings
- Go to Devices > Touchpad
- Make sure Touchpad is ON
4. Check Device Manager
- Press Windows + X → Select Device Manager
- Expand Mice and other pointing devices
- If you see "HID-compliant touchpad" or "Synaptics/Precision Touchpad", right-click → Enable (if disabled)
- Or, right-click → Update driver
5. BIOS or UEFI Check (Advanced)
If it's still not working:
- Restart your laptop
- Tap F10 repeatedly at startup to enter BIOS
- Look for the Internal Pointing Device setting → Make sure it's enabled
- Press F10 to Save and Exit
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
