EliteDesk 800 G2 mini

Apparently, this is a known issue and I tried all the solutions I can find online. When I plug in the PC the green light in pic flashes for a second then it powers on but no POST. If I remove the RAM or SDD, there are no beeps at all. I also pressed the CMOS reset, even left the CMOS battery out for 24 hours to see if that would help.

All that happens is that fan speeds up over about 30 seconds to highest speed like its about to take-off!

I'm just wondering if there is anything else I should try before I order a new motherboard and/or power supply.

Thanks!

If the problem was caused by a bad BIOS flash there are some other options available.

Touch one finger to any metal edge of the chassis before reaching to the motherboard part.

Remove the M.2 ssd and one of the memory and try a hard reset.  Some memory sockets have a caution note such as "use if only 1 memory stick" . If you do not see that message then try both sockets.

On a desktop system, unplug computer. If the power cord has a transformer (wall wart) unplug that from the computer.
Press the power button 2-3 times to discharge residual electricity then plug back in.

Turn on the computer by holding the power button down for 20 full seconds then release.

Press the Power button one more time (if necessary) to start the computer.

Try the other memory stick.

Thanks but this was NOT caused by a BIOS flash.

Apparently, too many password attempts prompted a restart and then would not reboot.
