Hi, I have a E233 monitor which includes a USB Type B port as input to the built in hub.  I do not have the original Type B cable which came with the monitor.  Looking at the port it has an extra notch that you do not normally see on Type B cables is this important or will any Type B cable work?

I do not believe you need the original cable...it will work with any cable!
