Unable to get rid of hp Audio volume control pop up box which appears frequently and disappears at will.

Welcome to HP Support Forums. A really great platform for posting all your questions and finding solutions.

 

I have gone through your Post and I'll try my best to help 😊

 

Please update the Audio driver from Device Manager 

 

- Select the Start  button, type Device Manager, and select it from the list of results.
- Look for Audio Input & Output and expand the List
- Look for Audio driver then right-click it, and select Update Driver.
- Select Search automatically for updated driver software.
- If these steps don't work, try reinstalling the driver: Open Device Manager, right-click the Audio driver and select Uninstall. Restart your PC and Windows will attempt to reinstall the driver.
 

Also download and run the HP Support Assistant from this Link: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/campaigns/hpsupportassistant/hpsupport.html?jumpid=va_r602_us/en/any/psg/pl... and check for any updates

 

  1. Click My devices on the top of the HP Support Assistant window, and then click Updates in the window for your device.

  2. If HP Support Assistant detects updates, a list of updates displays in the Updates available window.

  3. To check for recent updates, click Check for updates and messages.

    HP Support Assistant connects to the HP servers and performs the following actions:

    • Downloads messages and updates

    • Gathers configuration information

    • Analyzes your computer system

    • Prepares an action list

    If HP Support Assistant finds updates, they display in the Updates available window.
