I would like to use a 2nd monitor with my HP all-in-one but I cannot figure out how to do this. Our IT person said it can be done using a VGA to DMI cord however that did not work. Another IT person told me to get a USB cord with a graphics driver and the tech at Best Buy told me it's not possible to use a 2nd monitor with this specific all-in-one. Please let me know if it is possible and how I would go about doing it.

Here are the specs for your HP ENVY Recline 27-k009 TouchSmart All-in-One Desktop Computer. Based on the specs, this model, doesn't have a video output of any kind. The HDMI port on the side is strictly an INPUT;

3 - HDMI input
To connect your computer to an external display, you will need to purchase a USB-to-video adapter such as the EVGA UV Plus+ UV39 or many other adapters on the market.
