Hi team, I hope I have used the right channel for this query.
I am hoping to mount my HP x2401 monitor but do not have the packaging or any VESA mounting plates for it. Is it possible to purchase these still as new or second hand anywhere? The monitor is out of warranty.
thanks for your help!

In the user manual for the monitor it says I need a Vesa adaptor plate to make the monitor vesa compatible which says is included in the box.
The monitor itself has a removable stand with a line of 4 screws, I don’t think I can mount it without installing the adaptor plate first.
Thanks.
You are correct. I read that it was Vesa compatible but did not see the requirement for an adapter plate
The adapter is hp part 710442-001 and it is "discontinued" supposedly
I found that part by putting x2401 into the lookup here https://parts.hp.com
I spent some time googling for that part and was unable to find it on line
You will need to contact hp and ask for that part number

You may have to fabricate the part from aluminum stock or use an adhesive to mount a large velcro patch that can attach to a form or bracket like the following

Your monitor supports VESA but the mounting kits are never included. The kits should come with different size screws depending on what type of mount (telescoping, tilting, etc)

you need one that supports at least 10 lbs
