Hello,
So the following puzzles me greatly. I have two monitors, the 1st is BENQ Senseye and is connected with a dvi-d to hdmi cable. The 2nd is an HP 2311x and it is connected with an hdmi cable. I bought a new HDMI cable today to replace the old one, as it started flaking a little bit. Now, here's what happens when I connect my HP monitor with my new hdmi cable. Both of the screens go black, as normally happens when the monitors refresh configuration, but instead they both lose signal. This prohibits me from operating windows normally to try and figure the issue out. When I unplug the new hdmi cable, my 1st screen lights up and functions properly. Now here is where it gets weirder. When i replace the new hdmi cable with the old one I used with my HP monitor, everything works.
The dual screen set up works as intended. I need help, this is driving me mad. It seems that my HP monitor simply hates the new HDMI cable for absolutely no reason and screws up the whole setup.
Thank you for your time

The RTX 3090 has 4 ports: 1 HDMI 2.0 and 3x DP 1.4a ports

How do you get the second HDMI port ? If from its motherboard it won't work because it is disabled. You can use DP to HDMI cable to connect to the second monitor.
Regards.
