The initial strange behavior was that my monitors would go black (seemed like a video reset). Eventually it got to where Windows was only detecting a single monitor. Rebooting into "DOS", the other monitor was being used.. so both ports, cables and monitors seem alright. I went through diagnostic checks until the BIOS Video Extensive Memory Check showed a status of Failed.
I have a warranty that's good until March 2025.
I have had no response from HP service, and the automated suggestion was to take it to a service provider, and they listed a London Drugs near me, and a Best Buy. I took it to London Drugs and they want to charge me a $60 diagnostic fee, and the repaid would be covered under warranty.
Is this reasonable?
