Product: HP Notebook - 15-dw0083wm

I noticed in my list of installed apps the hp Connection Optimizer. I'm looking to make room on my hard drive by removing unnecessary apps, but I did not notice this one previously. What does it do? Is it going to severely affect my computer if I remove it?

This package provides HP Connection Optimizer (HP Sure Connect) for supported computer models that are running a supported operating system.

HP Sure Connect automatically recovers the driver of a communications device that has stopped functioning.
