When I start my computer the monitor screen is black and has this message: Input Signal Not Found. Check video cable and video source. How do I fix this?

@MarlaJH, Welcome to HP Support Community,
Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue
Check the Video Cable Connections
Make sure the video cable (HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA, or DVI) is securely connected to both the monitor and the computer.
If possible, unplug and then firmly reconnect both ends of the cable.
Inspect the cable for any visible damage. Try using a different cable if you have one available.
Verify the Video Input Source on the Monitor
Use the monitor's physical buttons (usually on the side or bottom bezel) to access the input/source menu.
Confirm that the monitor is set to the correct input source matching the cable you are using (e.g., HDMI if you are using an HDMI cable).
Restart Your Devices
Power off your computer and monitor.
Disconnect the power cable and video cable.
Wait 30 seconds.
Reconnect and power on your monitor and then the computer.
I hope this helps.
Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.
Take care and have a good day.
