HP Pavilion - 15-au172tx
Ubuntu LTS

I own this laptop for a while. I had been always using 1 external monitor only. Recently, I bought another monitor and want to connect both of the minitors. But this laptop does not come with any USB-C port.

Is there any alternative way to setup a docking station or HDMI splitter so that I can use both of monitors?
Advance thanks for helping

Hi @mmarifat,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The HP 15-AU172TX is a laptop that has an HDMI output port, which means you can connect an external display using an HDMI cable. If you want to connect more than one display or additional peripherals, you can use a docking station or an HDMI splitter.

For a docking station, you can consider the HP USB-C Universal Dock G2, which supports up to two displays, including one HDMI port and one DisplayPort, as well as various USB and Ethernet ports for additional connectivity.

If you prefer an HDMI splitter, you can consider the Cable Matters 4 Port HDMI Splitter, which supports up to four displays and allows you to split the HDMI signal from your laptop to multiple displays simultaneously.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
