I'm using my Omen Gaming monitor as an extended display for my MacBook Air M2 with MacOS Sonoma 14.1. Monitor is connected via DisplayPort through Anker PowerExpand11. The image scaling on the monitor is set to 'Fill to Aspect Ratio' and I'm unable to change this. How can I enable it?

Hi @rgndn_bhat,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To address your issue with image scaling on an external monitor connected to your MacBook Air M2, there are a few potential steps you can take.
Display Settings on MacBook:
- Open "System Preferences" on your MacBook.
- Select "Displays."
- Check for display options and scaling settings.
- You might see options like "Default for display" or "Scaled." Choose the appropriate resolution for your external monitor.
Monitor Settings:
- Use the physical buttons or on-screen menu of your HP Omen Gaming monitor to check for display settings.
- Look for an option related to aspect ratio or scaling on the monitor itself.
Anker PowerExpand11:
- Ensure that the Anker PowerExpand11 is functioning correctly and is compatible with your MacBook and the monitor.
- If possible, try connecting your MacBook directly to the monitor without the Anker dock to see if the issue persists.
Graphics Settings:
- Open "System Preferences" on your MacBook.
- Select "Displays" and then click on the "Arrangement" tab.
- Check if there are any options related to the arrangement of displays or display mirroring that might affect the scaling.
Graphics Driver and macOS Updates:
- Ensure that your MacBook Air M2 has the latest macOS updates installed.
- Check for any available firmware updates for your monitor and the Anker PowerExpand11 dock.
- Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date.
Reset NVRAM/PRAM:
- Shut down your MacBook.
- Turn it on and immediately hold down Option + Command + P + R.
- Keep holding until you hear the startup sound again.
- This can reset certain settings and might resolve display-related issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
