@Deeds-789_, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

When encountering issues with your HP Z2 G9 Workstation not waking up from sleep mode and beeping with a blinking red power button, this usually indicates a hardware-related problem. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and possibly resolve the issue:

Check Diagnostic Codes: The blinking red power button often provides a diagnostic code. Refer to the Maintenance and Service Guide for your HP workstation to determine what the specific blinking pattern indicates.

Ensure Proper Connection and Power Supply:

  • Make sure all cables, including power cables, are securely connected.
  • Test the power outlet and ensure it is functioning properly.
  • Try a different power cord if available.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Disconnect the power cord from the desktop.
  • Press and hold the power button for about 10-15 seconds to discharge any residual power.
  • Reconnect the power cord and turn on the computer.

Check for Hardware Component Issues:

  • Ensure that RAM and other internal components are properly seated.
  • Remove and reinsert components such as RAM modules to ensure they are properly connected.

Update Drivers and BIOS:

  • Use the HP Support Assistant to check for any driver updates or a BIOS update.
  • Ensure that the device's BIOS is updated to the latest version available from the HP support website.

Adjust Power Settings:

  • Check your system's power settings in Windows to ensure proper configuration for sleep mode.
  • Disable sleep mode as a temporary workaround and see if the issue persists.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
