I have a Z27 monitor and attached the Z27 monitor to my Envy 13 laptop using USB-C to USB-C cable provided withy the monitor. Initially connection sound and connects and displays and the laptop charges. Great for about 30s then black screen, reconnects (with tones sometimes) and is great for 30s then black screen and cycles through this continually.
Have connected with a HP Probook laptop with no problems.
Anyone have any ideas as to what I am doing wrong?

I think I have a similar problem. I connect my Z27 to a ThinkPad X1 Carbon 7th generation laptop via the laptop's USB-C charging port (which also outputs video) to the monitor's USB-C input and Power Delivery port. I'm also using the cable provided in the Z27 box. The laptop is running Windows 10 with all OS and Lenovo updates applied.
Once every 3 to 25 minutes, both displays (laptop and Z27) go black for a couple seconds, and then the desktop reappears. Some windows move as if the OS went into single-monitor mode. I also hear the sound that Windows makes when the charging cable is unplugged and the laptop switches to battery power. I checked the Windows Event Viewer (Event Viewer -> Windows Logs -> System), and every time this blanking happens, there are a pair of Kernel events: "Event 105, Kernel-Power", "Power source change."
I do not think I've seen this behavior when I connect to the monitor via HDMI.
How can we get this power-cycling to stop when using the USB-C connection?
