Hi all,
I'm trying to use the USB-C displayport on my Z27N G2. The laptop I've got plugged in is a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon (6th gen, I think...it has the Thunderbolt USB-C ports anyway)
When I plug in with the cable, I can get the display signal to the monitor, but the laptop doesn't charge, which is a feature, to my understanding. I do have it plugged into the "charging" USB-C port on the laptop.
I also have the monitor in Performance mode, not Power saver mode, so the ports should be providing power.
Is there some setting on the monitor or maybe laptop that I need to enable to get power going, or is it more likely that the cable isn't capable. It is a USB-C 3.1 cable, but it is third-party.
Thanks!

Using USB-C to DP cable won't charge your laptop, full stop. You need to use USB-C to USB-C cable to connect, this is the ONLY hope. But from the following manual

Looks like the USB-C Gen 1 port of the monitor does not give any hope.
Regards.
