Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Thinking of buying a HP Slimline Desktop but am concerned about the integrated graphics going out. Is there an external graphics card that can be used with it?

what does OUT mean (burned up /out)

please say what that means, as that seems to be your worry.

no it will not burn out.

just  use it be happy. like millions do.

like 75% of all PCs made with I3 Up with IGPU runs great world wide,  vast millions, do. zero problems.

the only problem with intel igpu is the real old ones, HD 2000? not supported on W10.

intel.com explains all that but is not on this PC.

and can not be upgraded, (per the mobo spec, there is no slot)

your PC has, Intel® UHD Graphics 605

show full support by intel   w10 . (means PnP works ) so there are no problems related to the 605 (2017 up) Pentium.

The PC has no internal slots to add a graphics card.

Look at the motherboard specs.

 

Only these two expansion slots, and one is occupied by a wifi card...
