Hi there @golila

Welcome to the HP Support Forums! It is a great place to find the help you need, both from other users, HP experts and other support personnel. I understand that your display on your All-in-One is black on start up, and that you have been trying to connect an external display. I am happy to assist.

Now I can certainly understand your frustration, because of the circular nature of the problem. I would suggest you focus on the main display first. I realize you have probably already tried this, but just in case go through this page:

HP and Compaq All-in-One and HP TouchSmart Desktop PCs - Screen is Blank after Starting the Computer

If you still do not have any response on the main display, then you are pretty much left with a repair option, as you cannot get an external to work without loading drivers for the USB adapter. So if you wish to check your repair options, please use the following http://www.hp.com/contacthp and create a case for your issue and contact HP. Did anyone ever get a solution to this issue.  I would love to test the display before going the route of replacing the motherboard.  Thanks

I have the same issue. I have replaced the power inverter, motherboard and video cables and nothing helped. Don't waste your money just yet. I have been going through these boards and so many people have the same issue and I havent found one solution. Not good for an HP product and what seems to be a complete lack of cooperation on HP's part. So many problems but no solution! Come on now. They just want us to go out and buy the latest and greatest system for another $1600.
