Correct:
The "N/A" means you cannot currently purchase the part from HP.
Search for the part online using your search engine.
Depending on your location, the part might be available from Amazon or other online retailers in your region.
I do not work for HP. I do not have any access to internal HP support, sales, or HP technical support options.

So, let's see if I understand correctly........
HP create creates and sells a product made up of several parts.......
HP creates proprietary and uncommon cables for its products.........
HP is not responsible for the parts with which its product is created
HP does not sell parts of its own product and obliges me to purchase it from third parties

I can see why having local merchants / companies gouge you for the price of a cable is irritating.
I have asked that someone take a look.
IF an agent contacts you, he/she will post back here first (before contacting you by message or email).

this is a year later and it seems lots of people have the same problem .. I have
Now THREE of these units that don't work because of the 2and 1 cable... the cable gets extermly hot and no video
and Now says plug into a usb3 port on one of them.. ..display gets detected and mixed reality device still shows up.
I phoned hp canada to get help and get directed to surfer
for a cable that costs 170us
and now out of stock anyways. .. Canada does not even carry them !!!!!!
because they are out of waranty
and one just ran out in jan...I'm screwed..
I really wish there was a class action on this. because this is a SCAM..
sell a product then sell a cable that is known to be faulty for basically the cost of a entire unit when its on sale.
.... What is funny this is my kids first experience with Hp products .. and how they treat customers.
And everybody they run accross in there vr games they tell them they have to do 2d because of hp..
..
So now with these three headsets out of waranty they are all paper weights.. so screwed up.
I understant the headsets use spectra chipset ...perhaps hp should be punishing them for faulty chip sets.
and not customers.. or at leat get spectra to put down the cost so we can actually buy replacement cables
at a resonable price.. and if its not spectra that is gouging on the costs SHAME on hp for this..
And for all i know maybe the usb cable kills the headunit as well as on one of them now i just get
plug into a usb 3 port.. which it clearly worked before but no video

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
