Hey there! @DWW48

Try the steps recommended below.

Try updating windows to the latest version and check if it helps.

Update the Display Adapter driver.

  1. Press Windows key + X key when you are at desktop.
  2. Select Device Manager.
  3. Expand Display Adapter.
  4. Right on the Display Adapter and click on Update driver software.

Please follow the below steps to change the resolution of the screen and check:

  1. Type Change screen resolution in the Search box from the desktop.

  2. Under Resolution search for the Recommended resolution and click on Apply.

  3. A windows pops up saying "Keep these display settings", then select Keep changes.

If the issue still persists update the BIOS and graphics driver to the latest version using HP support assistant.

Had previously updated to latest Windows version. Tried again today. No change. The option for 1920 x 1080 is still not available. I'm getting by with 1600 x 900.

Hi! @DWW48,

Thanks for writing back to us.

Please share the product number of the PC to assist you better.

How is the monitor connected?

Try connecting the monitor using a straight video cable.

Also, try checking with a different monitor cable.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Take Care! 🙂
