Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi community,

I'm currently connecting my PC (ASus- windows 10) to a monitor HPZ27 via a HDMI cable. The display mode is set in duplicate displays. Both monitors (pc and hpz27) show black screens. When disconnecting the hdmi cable, hp monitor shows :

Current mode: H=88.9 kHz V = 180Hz

Change Mode to: 2560 x1440  60Hz

The problem is, the monitor works correctly with other computers. And my pc correctely dispays wtih other monitors ...

I've already tried reset to factory the hp monitor, but nothing changes.

Thank you so much for your help !

Does your Asus machine have HDMI 2.0 port using HDMI 2.0 version ?

Regards.

To change resolution on Windows 10, right-click on your desktop, and click Display settings. Scroll down to Resolution, and click the box under it. Select the resolution you want from the dropdown menu. Select Keep changes if the resolution works as expected or click Revert if not

Thanks for your answer.

Yes I think so, for the 2.0, how may I verify it?

This monitor and HDMI cable used to work well with this asus pc before I changed hard disc...

Thank you John,

The fact is I cannot acces to settings as both screens are 'black', Hp monitor and pc, when hdmi cable is connected.

And if I disconnect hdmi cable, I only have acces to settings of pc screen resolution which is already at 60hz.

Any other idea?

Thank you!

Sorry, your machine is an Asus, and your monitor is very old. Please download and install the following driver and install to your computer

If still no luck, please contact Asus for help.
