got a response to my problem, thanks. however still trying.

 

was told to use osd on omen monitor to tell the monitor that the display cable from cpu is hooked up to hdmi1 port. currently monitor says all inputs are inactive.

how do I tell monitor is hooked up to hdmi1 and to activate it

@viperxl -- first, find the OSD button(s).

 

There might be 4 separate buttons: Activate/Exit, Up, Down, Back.

Or, there might be a "joy-stick" -- compare to what a jet-fighter has between her knees.

 

So, either "click" on the joy-stick to activate the OSD, or push the "Activate" button.

 

Then, you can scroll-down the menus, to find the "source" or "input" sub-menu, where you can select which video-input port you want your monitor to use.
